Desired Qualifications:
- Active SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant) certification or licensure, in accordance with state requirements
- Experience working within a school setting, ideally supporting K-12 students
- Understanding of IEP processes and documentation preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and families
- Ability to adapt communication and therapy techniques for diverse student needs
- Organizational skills to manage therapy schedules and maintain timely records
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering direct and indirect therapy services
- Implement individualized intervention plans to support students' communication goals
- Conduct group or one-on-one sessions under supervision, following established goals and protocols
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting supports based on feedback and results
- Communicate progress and challenges to the supervising SLP and educational teams
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and program development initiatives as needed
