Desired Skills and Experience:
- Active SLPA license or eligibility for licensure in Maryland
- Previous experience in a school setting is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of best practices in supporting K-8 students with speech and language disorders
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, therapists, and families
- Ability to use data to track student progress and adapt interventions as needed
- Flexibility to work with varying caseloads and adapt to evolving student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement therapeutic activities under the supervision of a certified Speech-Language Pathologist
- Assist with assessments and documentation of student progress
- Deliver direct and indirect speech and language services to K-8 students
- Prepare and maintain materials for therapy sessions
- Foster an encouraging and supportive environment for student learning
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational personnel on student care plans
