Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field
  • Current SLPA licensure or eligibility to obtain state-specific credentials
  • Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement speech-language therapy activities under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Assist in delivering direct and indirect services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Record student progress, document therapy sessions, and maintain accurate data
  • Support classroom teachers with communication strategies and modifications
  • Work collaboratively with SLPs, educators, and families to enhance student outcomes
  • Participate in professional development sessions and training opportunities
