Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA license for Washington State
- Previous experience or practicum in educational settings preferred
- Knowledge of IEP documentation procedures and speech therapy techniques for school-aged children
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with lead SLPs, teachers, and educational teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy sessions to students as outlined in IEPs under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Assist in screening, assessing, and documenting student progress
- Prepare therapy materials and activities to support individualized goals
- Maintain accurate records of student sessions and outcomes
- Contribute to parent-teacher conferences by sharing progress and strategies
- Collaborate with classroom staff to implement carry-over strategies and promote generalization of skills throughout the school setting
