Key Qualifications:
- Current SLPA license or registration, meeting state and national requirements
- Previous experience in school or healthcare settings as an SLPA preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) communication skills required
- Comfortable working with children ages 3-12 in diverse classroom settings
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with supervising speech-language pathologists, teachers, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language interventions to students under the guidance of a supervising SLP
- Support classroom teachers and staff in integrating communication goals across learning environments
- Offer bilingual (Spanish/English) support to students and families
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in data collection
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet the changing needs of students from preschool through 6th grade
- Participate in team meetings and reflect the values of inclusivity and cultural competence
