Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. You’ll work on-site in the Baltimore area, helping young learners develop essential communication skills in a dynamic educational setting. Your background in school-based SLPA services, combined with a current Maryland Professional License, will help create an encouraging learning environment for students. Flexibility is key, as exact school assignments and caseload details will be shared closer to start.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active Maryland SLPA license (must provide images for credentialing)
- Prior experience in school-based settings is highly desirable
- Ability to work on-site in the Baltimore area
- Willingness to complete district background checks/fingerprinting per House Bill 486, as well as employment history reviews
- Positive, adaptable attitude for collaborating with educational professionals, support staff, and families
- Availability for in-person “prescreen” interviews to assess suitability
Your Daily Impact:
- Provide direct therapy to students under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Assist with implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collect and document student performance data, ensuring progress toward goals
- Support generalization of speech and language strategies throughout classroom and school routines
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to foster student success
