Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid North Carolina SLPA license required
- Previous experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in a school environment strongly preferred
- Proficiency in implementing speech and language therapy under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and create a positive, motivating learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students as established in IEPs and under the supervision of SLPs
- Document student progress and maintain detailed records in accordance with school and district guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and family members to support student communication goals
- Prepare materials and adapt activities to meet varying student needs
- Participate in meetings and contribute to planning for student success
