Qualifications:

  • Hold current SLPA licensure or certification in accordance with state guidelines
  • Prior experience providing speech and language services in a school setting is preferred
  • Bilingual proficiency is required to support a diverse student population
  • Comfort collaborating with lead SLPs, educators, and family members
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to maintaining accurate service documentation and confidentiality

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language intervention services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Assist with screenings, evaluations, and progress monitoring in accordance with IEP goals
  • Prepare materials and activities to reinforce targeted speech/language objectives
  • Provide input on student progress, adapting approaches to meet evolving needs
  • Foster culturally responsive communication in both English and the students’ primary language
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to encourage carryover of skills beyond therapy sessions
  • Maintain detailed records and adhere to state and district compliance standards
