Qualifications:
- Hold current SLPA licensure or certification in accordance with state guidelines
- Prior experience providing speech and language services in a school setting is preferred
- Bilingual proficiency is required to support a diverse student population
- Comfort collaborating with lead SLPs, educators, and family members
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to maintaining accurate service documentation and confidentiality
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language intervention services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Assist with screenings, evaluations, and progress monitoring in accordance with IEP goals
- Prepare materials and activities to reinforce targeted speech/language objectives
- Provide input on student progress, adapting approaches to meet evolving needs
- Foster culturally responsive communication in both English and the students’ primary language
- Collaborate with school staff and families to encourage carryover of skills beyond therapy sessions
- Maintain detailed records and adhere to state and district compliance standards
