Desired Experience & Skills:
- Hold an active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license/certification recognized by the state
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, but enthusiastic new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to follow treatment plans and implement therapy under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations, including those with a range of communication needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students as prescribed by the supervising SLP
- Support students in both individual and group settings, adapting activities to meet their needs
- Track and document student progress in accordance with school's requirements and SLP guidelines
- Assist in developing and preparing materials for therapy sessions
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to school and district
