This contract position is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) who thrives in an educational environment and enjoys collaborating across multiple school sites. With a full-time Monday–Friday schedule (37.5 hours per week), you’ll have the chance to work with elementary, middle, or high school caseloads, helping students build vital communication skills in Cumberland County.
Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted North Carolina SLPA license is required
- Previous experience in a school-based SLPA role preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities across diverse settings
- Flexibility to travel between multiple school campuses
- Ability to work onsite; remote or hybrid is not permitted
- Positive, student-centered approach and a passion for serving school-age children
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Implement treatment protocols and interventions developed by supervising SLPs
- Track student progress and maintain accurate, timely documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student plans
- Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and parents to support student success
- Provide services at assigned elementary, middle, or high school campuses
