This contract position is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) who thrives in an educational environment and enjoys collaborating across multiple school sites. With a full-time Monday–Friday schedule (37.5 hours per week), you’ll have the chance to work with elementary, middle, or high school caseloads, helping students build vital communication skills in Cumberland County.

Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted North Carolina SLPA license is required
  • Previous experience in a school-based SLPA role preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities across diverse settings
  • Flexibility to travel between multiple school campuses
  • Ability to work onsite; remote or hybrid is not permitted
  • Positive, student-centered approach and a passion for serving school-age children

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Implement treatment protocols and interventions developed by supervising SLPs
  • Track student progress and maintain accurate, timely documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student plans
  • Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and parents to support student success
  • Provide services at assigned elementary, middle, or high school campuses
