Apply NowMake a meaningful impact as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) working across multiple schools in the Fort Myers, FL area for the 2026–2027 academic year! This contract opportunity offers part-time hours (7.5–22.5 hours per week) with the possibility to reach full-time, depending on supervision availability. You’ll be supporting students at various elementary and middle schools, providing essential speech and language services in an engaging, collaborative environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Florida Department of Health SLPA license required
- School-based SLPA experience or related clinical work highly valued
- Comfortable managing a caseload of approximately 50-55 students
- Adaptability and professionalism across multiple campus locations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to complete or transfer Florida school district fingerprints (both new and current Florida school district prints may be accepted, pending verification through the AHCA Clearinghouse)
- JLA badge eligibility or transfer required for onboarding
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work onsite (this is not a virtual or teletherapy role)
- Collaborate with supervising Speech Language Pathologists to deliver high-quality therapy sessions
- Implement treatment plans with fidelity, addressing students’ individual speech and language goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with district policies
- Communicate with educational staff and families as needed to support student progress
- Travel between multiple assigned schools within the district as scheduled
