This school-based SLPA role involves working with a caseload of 50-55 students, ranging across diverse age groups and abilities. You’ll collaborate with teams at multiple locations around the Fort Myers area, experiencing a broad range of educational settings and student needs.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid FL Department of Health SLPA license
- Previous experience within school settings preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Adaptability to shifting caseloads and school locations
- Up-to-date fingerprint clearance (or the ability to quickly complete, including AHCA Clearinghouse verification and JLA badge process)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language support services under the direction of a supervising SLP
- Deliver therapy and interventions individualized to assigned students
- Assist with documentation and progress monitoring as required by school protocols
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with educators and families
- Adjust and combine hours across multiple school sites as needed
