Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active SLPA license or certification in Colorado, or eligibility to obtain before start date
- Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Experience working in a school setting preferred, especially with children or adolescents
- Strong understanding of speech and language development and intervention techniques
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow therapy plans and work under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Comfortable with documentation, progress tracking, and basic technology platforms
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language interventions to students individually and in small groups
- Implement IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals as directed by supervising SLP
- Assist in screening and assessment procedures under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Prepare materials and adapted resources for sessions
- Collect data and document student progress
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing staff development
- Foster positive and supportive relationships with students, families, and staff
