Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited SLPA program or a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Valid state SLPA licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience in a school setting or working with children preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, SLPs, and other school staff

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the supervising SLP in implementing therapy plans for students with communication disorders
  • Conduct speech and language screenings and document student progress
  • Prepare materials and provide support during therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student goals
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to ethical and legal standards for school-based therapy
