Make a real difference in the school community as a Full-Time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the 2024/2025 school year. In this school-based, contract opportunity, you’ll provide direct support to Speech-Language Pathologists, working hands-on with students who have communication disorders. Desired Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from an SLPA program, or a bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid California SLPA license
- Previous school-based experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated ability to be an effective team player
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide support to Speech-Language Pathologists in the delivery of therapy to students
- Carry out therapy activities and treatment plans under supervision
- Document student progress and assist with record keeping
- Work one-on-one and in small groups to support speech and language development
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to reinforce and monitor progress
- Maintain a positive, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all students
