Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Active SLPA licensure in California required
- Previous experience working in school settings is a strong advantage
- Background in healthcare speech therapy settings a plus
- Strong communication and collaborative skills with therapists, educators, and families
- Understanding of IEPs and ability to follow therapy plans as directed by supervising SLP
- Reliable, compassionate, and adaptable to various student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group speech therapy interventions under supervision
- Assist in implementing individualized education program (IEP) speech/language goals
- Document student progress and maintain accurate session notes as required
- Support SLPs in preparing therapy materials and modifying activities as needed
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to reinforce language strategies across educational settings
- Maintain a positive, encouraging environment that promotes student growth and confidence
- Ensure compliance with all school and state regulations regarding student privacy and therapy delivery
