The assignment begins in August and spans the start of the new school year, offering valuable hands-on experience collaborating with educators and supporting students' communication growth.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid licensure or certification as an SLPA or SLP
  • Previous experience in a school setting is highly preferred
  • Strong ability to connect with school-aged children and foster a supportive learning environment
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Reliable, adaptable, and able to commit to the entire contract duration

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to students under the direction of a supervising SLP, or independently if SLP-credentialed
  • Assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and contribute to IEP meetings, as appropriate
  • Conduct therapy sessions tailored to each student’s unique needs and goals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation on student progress
  • Partner with teachers and staff to support students’ communication success within the classroom setting
