Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in California.
  • Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with speech-language pathologists, teachers, and other staff.
  • Proficient in time management, organization, and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Conduct speech and language screenings as needed.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with educators and families.
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
