Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field
  • Valid CA State SLPA licensure
  • Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills
  • Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Organizational skills and timely documentation abilities
  • Passion for helping school-aged children achieve communication milestones

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students under SLP supervision
  • Assist with screening, assessment, and data collection
  • Support IEP goal implementation and track student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to promote student success
  • Prepare therapy materials and participate in school team meetings as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to district and legal requirements
