Key Qualifications:

  • Hold an active SLPA license in the state of Texas
  • Previous experience supporting speech-language services in schools or pediatric settings preferred
  • Understanding of various speech and language disorders and development levels
  • Comfortable working under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students, following prescribed treatment plans
  • Assist with implementing IEP goals and collecting data on student progress
  • Support SLP with preparation of materials, activities, and documentation
  • Foster a positive, encouraging environment to help students achieve communication goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families as needed to ensure cohesive care
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and staff meetings
