Make a direct impact supporting students’ communication and language development by working as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant in a vibrant school setting near Gadsden, AZ. You'll work on site, collaborating closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to deliver top-tier speech and language services, all while receiving regular supervision and professional growth opportunities.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech Communications, or related field, or AAS degree from an SLPA program
- Current and active SLPA license/certification
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, especially in high-pressure or crisis situations
- Ability to travel between school buildings if needed; assignments may span multiple sites
- Commitment to delivering both direct and indirect services as outlined in students’ IEPs
- Professionalism and enthusiasm for working in a diverse school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized speech and language interventions to school-aged students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Accurately implement therapy plans and document student progress
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to foster a supportive learning environment
- Maintain compliance with student IEPs and all special education procedures
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development as required
