Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLPA in Maryland
  • Previous experience within a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-focused attitude
  • Compassionate approach, working to foster student confidence and growth
  • Effective organizational and documentation abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement speech and language interventions under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Support development of students’ articulation, language, voice, and fluency skills
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and families to carry out IEP goals
  • Prepare and adapt materials for therapy sessions tailored to each student’s needs
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress and program outcomes
  • Support assessment processes and assist with daily therapy routines
