This position is located near Glendora, CA, covering a maternity leave beginning mid-November. You’ll work collaboratively with educators and SLPs to deliver high-quality speech-language services while fostering a positive learning environment.
What You’ll Bring:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license in California
- Previous experience in school or pediatric settings highly valued
- Ability to follow treatment plans created by a supervising SLP
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Adaptability and compassion for working with children of diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of therapy documentation and progress tracking in a school setting
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and a professional rapport
Your Role Will Include:
- Implementing speech and language therapy sessions under supervision
- Supporting students on caseloads with various communication needs
- Assisting in screenings, evaluations, and developing educational materials
- Documenting student progress and session notes efficiently
- Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families as needed
- Participating in IEP meetings and other interdisciplinary team activities
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring student goals are addressed
