Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license or certification in accordance with state requirements
- Previous experience in schools, particularly early childhood or preschool settings, is highly valued
- Ability to collaborate effectively with speech-language pathologists, teachers, and parents
- Strong communication, organization, and observation skills
- Enthusiasm for supporting young children’s speech and language development
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the on-site Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering therapy sessions and implementing treatment plans
- Work with preschool students, carrying out targeted activities to facilitate language and communication growth
- Document student progress, maintaining accurate records in accordance with school and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate closely with educational staff and families to ensure continuity of care
- Help create a supportive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
Position Details:
- 35 hours per week
- Schedule: 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. daily (includes a ½ hour unpaid lunch)
- Academic year contract: August 17, 2026 – June 4, 2027
- Primary site assignment at Scotten Elementary
