A contract Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available with both full-time and part-time assignments to be determined. Assignments may include working with middle school students, providing therapeutic support under the direction of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current SLPA license or eligibility for licensure in the state.
  • Completion of an accredited SLPA program.
  • Prior experience or fieldwork in a school setting is highly valued.
  • Comfort working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and supervising SLPs.
  • Strong organizational abilities and clear, effective communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads or age groups, including potential middle school assignments.
  • Commitment to professional ethics and a positive, student-focused attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to students as outlined in treatment plans.
  • Assist in screening and assessment of students with communication challenges.
  • Accurately document student progress and maintain required records.
  • Follow direction from supervising SLP, implementing therapy activities and collecting data.
  • Support classroom teachers in implementing strategies for generalization of skills.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment where students can thrive.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaboration as needed.
