Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA license or certification for the state of Indiana
- Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred, but recent graduates are welcome to apply
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including SLPs, teachers, and administrators
- Organizational skills and adaptability to meet varying student needs
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists with delivering high-quality therapy services
- Implement therapy plans for students with a range of speech and language disorders, under SLP supervision
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Support classroom teachers and staff by providing strategies to facilitate student communication
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team collaborations as needed
- Contribute to developing engaging activities that build students’ confidence and communication skills
