Desired Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Valid SLPA licensure/certification, meeting state requirements
- Previous experience supporting SLPs in school or healthcare settings
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Adaptability when working with children and adolescents with diverse needs
- Ability to document sessions and maintain confidentiality
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist SLPs with executing therapy sessions tailored to individual student goals
- Carry out targeted articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatic interventions
- Collect and report data on student progress under SLP supervision
- Support accurate documentation and contribute to IEP or service planning meetings as needed
- Provide a positive, encouraging, and supportive learning environment
- Communicate regularly with teachers and caregivers regarding student updates
- Maintain compliance with all school, district, and healthcare guidelines
