School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Hayward, California

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech Communications, or related major, or an Associate’s degree from a recognized SLPA program
• Active SLPA license or certification
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including the ability to support students and staff during challenging situations
• Willingness and ability to travel between school buildings as needed throughout the school day
• Commitment to adhering to student Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Experience working with children in educational settings preferred

Responsibilities:

• Deliver both direct and indirect speech and language services under SLP supervision, following IEP guidelines
• Implement evidence-based interventions and track student progress
• Maintain thorough documentation and timely communication with supervising SLPs and other school staff
• Support classroom activities and adapt communication strategies based on individual student needs
• Attend professional development, training sessions, and maintain required certifications
• Provide services exclusively onsite; virtual therapy is not available for this role

This contract position includes scheduled, guaranteed hours, support for licensure and credentialing, paid training, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
