Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a vibrant educational environment near Helix, OR. This school-based position begins in the last week of August and extends through the first or second week of June, encompassing 185 working days with a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week. The exact daily start and end times will be determined by each assigned school, and there may be opportunities to serve across multiple buildings with a dynamic caseload of approximately 60 students.

Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active SLPA license or certification that meets state requirements
  • Prior experience within a school setting is preferred, especially supporting K-12 populations
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage documentation and scheduling efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teachers, SLPs, families, and administrators
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across various campuses as caseload assignments may shift

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy services to K-12 students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
  • Collect data and document student progress toward IEP goals
  • Support SLPs in preparing therapy materials and conducting screenings
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff as needed
  • Maintain compliance with state, district, and professional standards
