School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Henrico, Virginia

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid SLPA license for the state of Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience in a school environment preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
• Strong understanding of speech and language developmental milestones
• Ability to implement therapy plans developed by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative approach, with a passion for helping students succeed

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, one-on-one or small group therapy sessions to students under the supervision of an SLP
• Assist in developing materials and modifying activities for speech and language goals
• Maintain accurate records on student progress and session outcomes
• Participate in team meetings and work closely with teachers, families, and other support staff
• Support the assessment and evaluation process as directed
• Help create a positive and encouraging learning environment
