Skills & Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Valid SLPA licensure or eligibility to obtain within Pennsylvania
- Previous experience in school or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Ability to adapt activities to meet individual student needs
- A professional, compassionate demeanor and a commitment to student growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with implementing treatment plans designed by licensed Speech-Language Pathologists
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to develop speech, language, and communication abilities
- Prepare materials and adapt activities under the supervision of SLPs
- Gather and document data on student progress to inform goal-setting
- Provide feedback to supervising clinicians and participate in team meetings
- Support inclusive practices and assist in generalization of skills across educational settings
- Engage professionally with staff and families to support student outcomes
