Skills & Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
  • Valid SLPA licensure or eligibility to obtain within Pennsylvania
  • Previous experience in school or pediatric settings preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Ability to adapt activities to meet individual student needs
  • A professional, compassionate demeanor and a commitment to student growth

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with implementing treatment plans designed by licensed Speech-Language Pathologists
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to develop speech, language, and communication abilities
  • Prepare materials and adapt activities under the supervision of SLPs
  • Gather and document data on student progress to inform goal-setting
  • Provide feedback to supervising clinicians and participate in team meetings
  • Support inclusive practices and assist in generalization of skills across educational settings
  • Engage professionally with staff and families to support student outcomes
