What you’ll bring:

  • Valid credential as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
  • Previous experience in a school setting supporting speech and language goals
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or equivalent, essential for this role
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Creative approach to adapting activities and materials for diverse student needs
  • Enthusiasm for working with middle and high school students

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting and implementing treatment plans designed by Speech Language Pathologists
  • Providing direct intervention to students (individually or in small groups) in classroom, pull-out, and community-based settings
  • Documenting student progress, maintaining accurate records, and reporting updates to the supervising SLP
  • Collaborating with teachers and staff to create an inclusive environment
  • Utilizing sign language to facilitate communication and access for students with hearing or speech challenges
