Qualifications and Experience:

  • SLPA certification or license required
  • Prior experience in school settings or with elementary-aged children is preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate with students, families, and school staff
  • Familiarity with IEPs and supporting documentation a plus
  • Adaptability in working with diverse student populations across 1st to 5th grades
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

Responsibilities:

  • Implement speech and language activities designed by supervising SLP for students in 1st through 5th grade
  • Track and document student progress in accordance with educational and therapy plans
  • Support teachers to create a language-rich classroom environment
  • Assist with screenings and data collection for student assessments
  • Encourage positive student interactions and facilitate participation in classroom activities
  • Maintain regular communication with supervising SLP, educators, and caregivers
