Qualifications and Experience:
- SLPA certification or license required
- Prior experience in school settings or with elementary-aged children is preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, families, and school staff
- Familiarity with IEPs and supporting documentation a plus
- Adaptability in working with diverse student populations across 1st to 5th grades
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language activities designed by supervising SLP for students in 1st through 5th grade
- Track and document student progress in accordance with educational and therapy plans
- Support teachers to create a language-rich classroom environment
- Assist with screenings and data collection for student assessments
- Encourage positive student interactions and facilitate participation in classroom activities
- Maintain regular communication with supervising SLP, educators, and caregivers
