Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Texas SLPA license (must have licensure in hand; screenshot required)
  • Previous, hands-on experience in a school-based setting as an SLPA
  • Ability and willingness to reliably commute to both Furr High School and Edison Middle School
  • On-site availability; remote not offered
  • Reliable transportation for daily commute between campuses

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language support services under the direction of a certified SLP to students at both designated campuses
  • Collaborate with educational teams to ensure quality care and progress towards student goals
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to campus and district procedures
  • Complete required HISD fingerprinting within three days of contract signing
  • Purchase and maintain your own laptop (reimbursement provided)
