You’ll begin as soon as possible, immersing yourself in a dynamic educational setting. Direct supervision will be provided by the onsite SLP as well as guidance from the SLP department chair, ensuring robust mentorship and a supportive working environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited SLPA program
- Indiana state licensure as an SLPA
- Experience working with school-aged children in educational or comparable settings
- Solid understanding of speech and language development, assessment, and intervention strategies
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying student needs across grade levels
Role Responsibilities:
- Carry out speech and language interventions designed by supervising SLPs
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to implement individualized plans
- Assist in the collection and documentation of student progress data
- Support generalization of speech and language skills in classroom and social settings
- Collaborate with teachers, SLPs, and other staff to optimize student outcomes
- Prepare or modify therapy materials as directed
