Working on-site (in-person only—not remote), you’ll be assigned to one school location within this established district, providing direct speech services to a traditional student caseload. Sites may include elementary or center schools serving a range of needs, including students with severe disabilities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active FL DOH SLPA Licensure required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an SLPA, with at least 6 months in a school-based setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and confidence collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and school staff
  • Able to manage confidential information and comply with all district and legal requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy to students as directed by supervising SLPs
  • Assist with implementing individualized education plans and documenting student progress
  • Support students’ communication needs across various ages and abilities
  • Maintain accurate records and effective communication with teachers, parents, and the school team
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute insights for student support

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to start as soon as credentialing is complete, and commit through the end of May 2027
  • Must complete fingerprinting/background checks (if previous FL school district prints exist, verification required; otherwise, new prints and JLA badge application needed)
