Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active SLPA license required
  • Hands-on experience in school-based or healthcare SLPA roles
  • Demonstrated proficiency with AAC devices and strategies
  • Experience working with students exhibiting behavioral challenges
  • Ability to adapt interventions to meet individualized needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities with staff, students, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Implement AAC systems to support student communication
  • Deliver targeted interventions to address students' behavioral and communication goals
  • Support comprehensive IEP goals, maintain precise documentation, and report progress
  • Engage in solution-focused collaboration with teachers, mental health professionals, and families
  • Participate in training and professional development tailored to behavioral and AAC methodologies
