Desired Qualifications & Skills:

  • Active SLPA license in Illinois
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Solid understanding of speech and language therapy techniques for school-aged children
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with supervising speech-language pathologists, teachers, and families
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities
  • Compassion, patience, and adaptability when working with diverse student populations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP, tailoring approaches to meet individual student needs
  • Support students’ communication skills through both individual and group interventions
  • Assist with developing and implementing treatment plans and therapy activities
  • Accurately document session notes, monitor student progress, and contribute to IEP goals
  • Collaborate with educational staff and parents to help students generalize new skills across settings
  • Maintain compliance with all legal and ethical school-based therapy practices
