Key Qualifications:
- Active licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
- Previous experience in educational settings, preferably with middle and high school populations
- Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) or another recognized sign language—this skill is essential for the role
- Strong communication abilities and a supportive, student-centered approach
- Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and meeting student goals

Primary Responsibilities:
- Work closely with supervising Speech Language Pathologists to deliver therapy to students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Support students utilizing sign language, facilitating accessible communication for those with hearing impairments
- Implement IEP (Individualized Education Plan) goals in both group and individual settings
- Track student progress and maintain detailed records on interventions and outcomes
- Provide resources and education to classroom staff to enhance communication supports
- Participate in meetings and contribute valuable insights regarding student progress and communication strategies
