Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Katy, TX

Step into a dynamic role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in a welcoming school environment. This contract position offers a blend of stability and flexibility with opportunities for both full-time and part-time schedules. You’ll primarily be assigned to a single school but may occasionally assist at a second site, depending on need and your experience. The assignment spans from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027, covering elementary, middle, and high school age groups.

Your contributions will be valued as you help develop communication skills that empower students in their academic and social lives. The caseload generally ranges from 80–90, with some variation based on enrollment and your expertise. Candidates familiar with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices will find those skills especially appreciated.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current professional license as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
• Experience working in a school setting with elementary and/or secondary students
• AAC device knowledge preferred
• Ability to manage and adapt to varying caseloads
• State fingerprinting/background check required
• Comfort with on-site duties
• Flexibility to float between one or two campuses, as needed

Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy services to diverse student populations
• Implement IEP goals alongside supervising SLP and educational staff
• Maintain accurate case documentation
• Collaborate to address students’ specific needs and foster progress
