Key Qualifications:

  • Valid licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
  • Experience working with children, preferably in elementary school settings
  • Familiarity with the communication needs of 1st through 5th grade students
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to supporting young learners
  • Ability to adapt to various classroom environments while collaborating with teachers and staff
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Implement therapy plans as directed by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists
  • Work one-on-one and in small groups with students requiring communication support
  • Assist in screening, evaluating, and monitoring student progress
  • Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records as required by school protocols
  • Communicate regularly with supervising clinicians, teachers, and families regarding student progress
  • Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to the development and adjustment of therapy plans
