Key Qualifications:
- Valid licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
- Experience working with children, preferably in elementary school settings
- Familiarity with the communication needs of 1st through 5th grade students
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to supporting young learners
- Ability to adapt to various classroom environments while collaborating with teachers and staff
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Implement therapy plans as directed by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists
- Work one-on-one and in small groups with students requiring communication support
- Assist in screening, evaluating, and monitoring student progress
- Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records as required by school protocols
- Communicate regularly with supervising clinicians, teachers, and families regarding student progress
- Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to the development and adjustment of therapy plans
