Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or equivalent
  • Valid SLPA licensure for the state
  • Previous experience supporting speech or language services in schools preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a patient and compassionate approach to working with children
  • Ability to collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, and other support staff

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language interventions to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Implement therapy plans, document student progress, and assist in preparing materials
  • Conduct screenings and assist with assessments as directed
  • Support students in achieving their speech-language goals within the classroom and individually
  • Maintain accurate records and collaborate on progress reports for educators and families
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the positive culture within the school
