Desired Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field required
- Valid state license or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to follow individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, and parents
- Organizational skills and flexibility when managing caseloads and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Support implementation of speech and language goals as outlined in IEPs
- Assist in conducting screenings and assessments as directed
- Document student progress and maintain records in accordance with district and legal standards
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to foster students’ progress
- Participate in meetings and professional development sessions
