This full-time position (30-35 hours per week) begins March 16, 2026, with the week of March 23-27 as Spring Break. As a School SLPA, you'll make a difference by providing essential support to students across multiple sites within the district, especially those who utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLPA certification and licensure required
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
- Skilled in working with AAC devices and assistive technology
- Strong organizational abilities to facilitate an itinerant schedule
- Commitment to maintaining accurate records and session notes
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Travel between district schools (reimbursed mileage, typically 40-50 miles/week)
- Collaborate with supervising SLP and educational teams for consistent student support
- Implement individualized AAC strategies and troubleshoot device-related needs
- Document progress and communicate regularly with staff and caregivers
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with district protocols
