Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Associate’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field
- Active SLPA license for the state of Texas
- Previous experience supporting children or adolescents in an educational or therapy setting is highly valued
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Positive attitude and adaptability in a school-based environment
- Ability to collaborate with SPs, educators, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized education program (IEP) goals under the supervision of a speech-language pathologist
- Deliver direct therapy to students in group or one-on-one settings
- Assist with screening and documentation as directed
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers and educational staff
- Support the speech department in preparing materials and organizing resources
