Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Active SLPA license in Colorado
- Previous school-based experience is highly valued
- Familiarity with completing student assessments and implementing IEPs
- Strong communication, documentation, and time management abilities
- Comfort working with diverse learners across a wide age range
- Ability to collaborate effectively with special education teams and follow supervisory guidance
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments for students requiring speech and language services
- Provide direct and indirect interventions as outlined in student IEPs
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings with staff, families, and other service providers
- Maintain thorough documentation of services delivered and student progress
- Adjust strategies according to individual needs under the direction of an SLP supervisor
- Foster supportive, inclusive learning environments to help students achieve communication success
