Step into an essential role supporting students’ growth and communication needs as a contract Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in a welcoming educational environment. Your expertise will be put to use making a meaningful difference for preschool and elementary-age students, working both in small groups and, for some of the youngest learners, individualized 1:1 sessions.
What we're seeking:
- Valid California SLPA license
- Experience in school settings or healthcare as an SLPA
- Confidence overseeing 20-30 minute group sessions (2-4 students)
- Ability to adapt strategies for preschool-aged children and very young students
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities
- Eagerness to collaborate with supervising SLPs, educators, and families
What you'll be doing:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy based on student needs, with both group and individual interventions
- Assist with implementing treatment plans under SLP supervision
- Monitor and document student progress, communicating updates as needed
- Support students across ESY (Extended School Year) and NSY (New School Year)
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
- Maintain records in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines
