Apply NowEmbark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting elementary-aged students from September 14th through December 23rd. This full-time role offers you the chance to make a positive impact within a vibrant school community near Lowell, MA. You'll work a consistent schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, focusing on an elementary caseload.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Hold a valid SLPA license in Massachusetts
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Understanding of IEP processes and ability to support individualized therapy goals
- Strong collaboration skills for working alongside SLPs, teachers, and school staff
- Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about helping children achieve their communication goals
- Effective communication abilities with students, team members, and families
Responsibilities:
- Assist certified Speech-Language Pathologists with direct and indirect therapy services
- Support students in meeting IEP goals related to speech and language development
- Prepare and organize therapy materials as directed by supervising SLP
- Collect data and document student progress on assigned caseload
- Participate in team meetings and share insights on student progress
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment in the classroom
