Step into a dynamic opportunity supporting elementary learners as part of a dedicated school-based speech therapy team. This contract position offers an immediate start, with the assignment extending through the end of the school year and a possible option to continue during Extended School Year (ESY) sessions. Collaborate with students, educators, and families to deliver high-impact communication services in a positive, engaging environment.

In this role, you'll provide primarily compensatory services to an elementary caseload, working from 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM each day, with a designated 20-minute lunch break. You’ll split your time between two schools located just 15 minutes apart, ensuring a varied and rewarding daily experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience or training in school-based speech-language therapy (SLP, SLPA, or SLP-CFY)
  • Background with pediatric populations, preferably in elementary settings
  • Eligibility for state licensure or registration as an SLP or SLPA
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to travel between school sites

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide compensatory speech-language services to students as outlined in individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Conduct assessments and therapy sessions, documenting progress and results
  • Collaborate with special education staff, classroom teachers, and caregivers
  • Adapt approach to meet each child's needs and foster an inclusive, supportive atmosphere
  • Attend team meetings and participate in professional development as required
