Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field required
- Valid SLPA license or eligibility for licensure
- Experience in educational or pediatric settings is a plus
- Comfortable assisting with therapy under SLP supervision
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Collaborative mindset for working with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting SLPs in implementing treatment plans for students
- Guiding students through practice activities to improve speech, language, and communication skills
- Tracking and documenting student progress
- Preparing therapy materials and resources
- Assisting with screening procedures as directed by the SLP
- Communicating observations and updates to supervising SLPs and teachers
